Alex + Ani

Celebrating Boston Design Week, the OMSF team, executed a “Charmed by Charity: Mentoring in the Music, Design & Fashion Industries” event at the Alex & Ani location on trendy Newbury Street in Boston MA . It featured a discussion by Carlotta Cubi of Cumar, fashion designer Denise Hajjar, and Paula Daher of Paula Daher Design, about the importance of mentoring in the stone and interior design industries. Recording artist Jon Butcher and Dawn Carroll, inspired by the event’s mission, even composed and performed the original song, “ Path of Life.” Industry guests were impressed with the program, and inspired to pass the torch of mentoring on to the next generation. Carroll has future plans to expand the reach of her nonprofit, all the while promoting the one consistent theme that’s critical to the growth of the design industry and others alike – teaching the craft, the trade, and creating the spirit of community.
